Web Accessibility Statement
Homecalpro is dedicated to providing an accessible, inclusive, and friction-free computational experience for all users, including individuals with visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive disabilities.
Full Keyboard Control
Every calculator input, button, slider, drawer, and modal can be navigated and activated using standard keyboard shortcuts without a mouse.
High Contrast Modes
Both Day (Light) and Night (Dark) themes exceed WCAG 2.2 Level AA contrast requirements (4.5:1 for text, 3:1 for UI elements).
Screen Reader Optimized
Semantic HTML5, ARIA live regions, explicit input labels, and descriptive state announcements for dynamic calculations.
400% Zoom & Reflow
Responsive multi-breakpoint design reflows cleanly up to 400% zoom without horizontal scrolling or truncation.
1. Our Commitment to Digital Accessibility
At Homecalpro (homecalpro.com), we believe that precision calculation tools, financial planning software, construction material estimators, and mathematical engines must be universally accessible to everyone. We continually assess, refactor, and audit our front-end architecture to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA standards published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
Our founder and development team adhere to an accessibility-first engineering culture. We treat accessibility barriers as critical defects, prioritizing assistive software compatibility alongside computational accuracy.
2. Technical Measures & Assistive Features
Homecalpro incorporates concrete technical implementations across our 241+ calculator applications:
- Keyboard Navigation & Focus Traps: All interactive elements have visible, high-contrast focus rings (
outline: 2px solid var(--brand-primary)with a 2px offset). Interactive modals, such as the mobile navigation drawer (#mobile-nav-drawer), trap keyboard focus properly and can be instantly dismissed using the Escape key. Pressing Enter within any numeric field executes computations immediately. - ARIA Live Regions for Reactive Results: Calculation outputs utilize
aria-live="polite"regions so that screen readers announce updated values without interrupting the user's data-entry cadence. - Explicit Labeling & Input Hints: Every input field is bound to an unambiguous
<label for="...">element with programmatic assistance. Form inputs specify clearinputmode="decimal"orinputmode="numeric"attributes to evoke the appropriate on-screen keypad on mobile devices. - Color Independence & Contrast: Information is never conveyed through color alone. Error messages, warnings, and success states pair colored indicators with explicit descriptive icons and text labels.
- Reduced Motion Respect: We fully support the
prefers-reduced-motionCSS media query. For users who experience vestibular or motion-sensitive discomfort, all background animations, floating mathematical glyphs, and non-essential transitions are automatically disabled. - Text Resizing & Fluid Typography: Fluid typography scales gracefully using CSS
clamp()functions. The entire layout respects system font size overrides and browser zoom settings up to 400% without overlapping text.
3. Conformance Status & Testing Environment
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.
Homecalpro is substantially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Substantially conformant means that our engineering baseline meets or exceeds Level AA criteria across primary workflows, with ongoing remediation for minor third-party embed limitations.
Our continuous integration test suite runs automated accessibility checks using Axe-Core and Lighthouse audits. In addition, manual testing is conducted using:
- Desktop Screen Readers: NVDA (NonVisual Desktop Access) on Windows and VoiceOver on macOS.
- Mobile Screen Readers: Apple VoiceOver on iOS and Google TalkBack on Android.
- Browsers Evaluated: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, and Microsoft Edge.
- Input Modalities: Standard QWERTY keyboard-only navigation and single-switch emulation.
4. Known Limitations & Alternative Formats
Despite our best efforts to ensure full accessibility across all 241+ calculators, some edge cases may arise due to the mathematical complexity of dynamic graphing interfaces (such as coordinate planes or interactive SVG geometry diagrams):
- SVG Canvas Charts: Certain complex dynamic graphs rely on SVG rendering. We provide structured, tabular text data and plain arithmetic breakdown summaries directly underneath all visual charts to ensure screen reader users have 100% equivalent data parity.
- Third-Party Ad Content: Google AdSense advertisements delivered dynamically to the page are controlled by Google's automated delivery engines. While Google conforms to modern web standards, we have limited control over external advertiser iframe accessibility.
5. Accessibility Feedback & Contact Information
We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of Homecalpro. If you encounter accessibility barriers, experience difficulty reading any calculation, or require assistance with any tool, please contact our Accessibility Coordinator:
When contacting us, please provide details regarding the specific calculator or page URL, the assistive technology you were using (e.g., NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver), and a description of the issue encountered.
