What is the difference between standard and modular bricks?
Modular bricks measure 3-5/8" × 2-1/4" × 7-5/8" and are designed to lay on a 4-inch modular grid with a 3/8" mortar joint (6.85 bricks/sq ft). Standard bricks measure 3-5/8" × 2-1/4" × 8" (6.55 bricks/sq ft).
What type of mortar is best for exterior brick walls?
Type N mortar (medium strength ~750 PSI) is the industry standard for exterior brick veneer and non-structural residential masonry above grade.
